My company, Telefonica, has been engaged in the start-up community in Spain since 2011. Since then, we have provided support to hundreds of start-ups in 15+ countries, and we have expanded our approach to the start-up community with other initiatives such as Amerigo, Open Future Crowdworking or Think-Big.
At the time when Telefonica started, we were very new to the start-up world, and we had to learn from other more advanced players, like Endeavor, which had a global methodology and organization to support the start-ups. When Endeavor decided to launch in Spain (back in 2013), it was obvious for us that to provide support and to be part of the network, to create the best environment for start-ups, being involved with Endeavor was a must. Partnering with Endeavor has helped us in our work with start-ups, and being part of a global network helps us to anticipate global trends, which help us take the start-ups we work with to scale.
