I knew Endeavor was right for me when I met my ISP panelist who looked at me and said, “Joey, I’ve been working on the same project you have been working on for the last 10 years. I have a $50M project sitting on the shelf because we couldn’t do it. I want to roll up our sleeves and get into the details. Are you ready?” My response: “Of course! That’s why I’m here!” 30 minutes later he sat back in his chair and said, “I can’t believe it – you’ve done it!” I said, “Yes, we did…” It was confirmation that the product we were taking to market had the potential to be a market disrupter.
I joined Endeavor because I wanted to talk to other leaders and entrepreneurs who have walked the entrepreneurial walk. I wanted to get as much information as I could to help me navigate the growth path with the least amount of errors. As an entrepreneur, Endeavor has challenged me to think differently, to lead differently, and to expect more from my company. It stretches me to think, challenges me to grow, and holds me accountable for behavior that is not beneficial to my company’s growth strategy. I believe it is the most important group to which I belong.
