As a student at university, I wanted to be creative and innovate independently. My father used to live and work in the Middle East. Visiting him, I was inspired by the food culture there, and I wanted to bring that to Indonesia in a creative way. That’s where I got the idea of starting a Kebab restaurant.
Today, Kebab Baba Rafi is the world’s largest kebab chain, operating more than 1,300 outlets in nine different countries. Endeavor changed my ideas about how to run my business and taught me about the professional way to do that.
Making an impact in my community means a lot to me. I feel that I can be a role model for young people chasing their dreams; success does not come with age but rather with working smarter. My vision is to keep inspiring people in Indonesia to start their own business, never back down in the face of challenges, and learn from their past experiences. I want to be seen as a simple example of that.
