Entrepreneurship has an intrinsic fascination for me; but more than that, I was drawn to Endeavor because the idea of encouraging and supporting young entrepreneurs in a less developed economy such as Mexico was something that had great appeal for me. What has most impacted me in my work as an Endeavor mentor is the eagerness to learn and the passion that the young entrepreneurs bring to the table. Yes, they want to be successful, but many of them want also to contribute to their country in the deepest sense of the word. It also gives me an opportunity to contribute, share, teach and collaborate.
One of the things I have found most rewarding in that aspect is working with Endeavor Entrepreneur Daniel Espinosa. He is the first Mexican designer of fashion jewelry who has taken his brand successfully to international markets, while still creating a product for a national audience as well. Mexican women who wear his jewelry get a kick out of buying something so fashionable, glamorous and chic, that is, at the same time an outgrowth of their own artistic culture.
My hope for Endeavor Entrepreneurs is for them to find a common voice together to be true leaders in their nations, committed to growth and goodness.
